Animated explainer video production
Custom animated explainer videos for tech and SaaS products. Explore Studio Poink’s approach, relevant work, production decisions and project FAQs.
An animated explainer gives a specific audience a clear route into a product, service or idea. Studio Poink combines illustration, visual metaphor and animation to introduce complex subjects without asking viewers to understand every feature at once.
What does your viewer need to understand?
For a SaaS launch, that may be the problem a product solves. For an enterprise sales conversation, it may be how a process fits together. For an AI platform, it may be an unfamiliar capability that cannot be captured in a simple screen recording. The brief should define one primary audience, a central message and a useful next step.
An explainer can support a website, product presentation or campaign. It can also sit alongside a detailed product demo: the explainer establishes the idea, while the demo shows the interface. The intended placement shapes the script, length, on-screen text and audio choices.
See the approach in our work
IGEO.AI uses abstract shapes and cut-out animation to introduce AI visibility. Wiz combines cut-out and frame-by-frame techniques in a product showcase. WalkMe takes a cartoon approach to explaining a technology platform. These films demonstrate creative options, not a template every brand has to follow.
Developing the story and visual language
Message development starts with source material: a product walkthrough, the audience’s questions, approved claims and brand references. Script and storyboard decisions establish the explanation before detailed animation. Design then gives the story a coherent world, and movement connects its ideas.
At briefing, agree who supplies and approves the script, whether narration is needed and which product details must appear exactly. Technical review matters when a visual metaphor simplifies a process: a clear image should still represent the product accurately.
Define the deliverables before production
Confirm the master film, aspect ratios, export requirements, captions, language versions and any shorter edits in the proposal. Voiceover, music licensing, source files and later updates also need an agreed scope. Our process guide covers approvals, and the briefing checklist helps collect the right inputs.

Frequently asked questions
What makes an animated explainer different from a product demo?
An explainer focuses on an idea, problem or value proposition. A product demo shows a workflow or interface in more detail. They can work together, and the brief can specify where actual UI needs to appear.
Can you explain a technical SaaS or AI product?
Studio Poink’s published portfolio includes IGEO.AI, Wiz and WalkMe. Share a product walkthrough and approved messaging so the studio can discuss a visual approach appropriate to the audience and technical detail.
Do we need a script before contacting you?
No finished script is required to start a conversation. Provide the audience, main message and product context, then agree writing responsibilities and approval stages in the proposal.
How long should an explainer be?
Length follows the message, audience and placement. Decide what the viewer must understand and what can live in a follow-up demo or supporting page before setting a running time.
Are voiceover, subtitles and extra formats included?
These are project-specific deliverables. List the required audio, captions, languages, aspect ratios and cutdowns in the brief so their production and licensing can be included in the agreed scope.
